Creative Medical Writer

£28,000 - £32,000 pa + benefits (Ref: 20149)
One of London’s biggest and most successful healthcare advertising agencies needs a new copywriter to join its creative team as a result of a raft of exciting new business wins (on top of an already diverse client base of global pharmaceutical companies). You need to really ‘get’ both the science and creativity needed to sell pharma brands with convincing copy so a science degree, some commercial experience and the proven ability to write are all absolutely essential.

The reason people stay at this agency in the long term is that there is an incredible variety of work; you could be working on a consumer contraception launch one minute, a high science schizophrenia set of marketing materials or entire portfolio of oncology or HIV work the next. Think: sales aids, posters, newsletters, web content, leave pieces, mailers and patient materials, to name a few.

The culture is genuinely collaborative between creatives and account handlers, supportive, friendly with lots of banter working with people who are serious about their work but also enjoy their downtime.

You might be a science graduate either writing in a healthcare advertising for a year or two where you are stuck on 2 or 3 accounts and want more variety of work, you might be in a med comms agency and eager to join a more creative environment or you could be a pharmaceutical representative with excellent writing skills and commercial acumen.
